Do I need a consultation before my appointment?

For colour corrections, major transformations, extensions, keratin treatments, QiQi smoothing services and selected blonde services, a consultation is required before booking.

How much does a consultation cost?

Consultations are charged; however, the consultation fee is fully redeemable against your future appointment when booked on the day of your consultation.

Can I get an exact quote online?

No. We are happy to provide general pricing guidance; however, all online estimates are indicative only. Accurate quotes can only be provided during an in-salon consultation.

Why can't you quote my hair from photos or social media?

Every head of hair is different. Hair length, thickness, colour history, condition and desired outcome all impact the service required. An in-salon consultation allows us to provide accurate recommendations and pricing.

DEPOSITS & CANCELLATIONS

Do you require deposits?

Yes. Most appointments require a 30%–50% deposit. New clients are required to pay a 50% deposit when booking.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require a minimum of 48 hours' notice for appointment changes or cancellations. Changes made within 48 hours may incur a 30%–50% cancellation fee. No-shows are charged 100% of the booked service.

What happens if I am running late?

Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may have their appointment shortened, rescheduled or cancelled depending on the time available.

What happens if I am unwell?

If you are unwell or caring for a minor who is unwell, your deposit may be transferred once to another appointment within two weeks upon presentation of a valid medical certificate. Further changes will result in forfeiture of the deposit.

Do Christmas bookings require a deposit?

Yes. Christmas appointments require a 50% non-refundable, non-transferable deposit.

BLONDE & COLOUR SERVICES

Do you specialise in blonde hair?

Yes. Hair By I specialises in luxury blondes, balayage, foils, lived-in colour and colour transformations.

How often should I tone my blonde hair?

Most blonde clients benefit from a toner refresh every 6–8 weeks to maintain brightness and reduce brassiness.

What is the difference between balayage and foils?

Balayage creates a softer, lower-maintenance result with a natural grow-out, while foils provide maximum brightness and lift throughout the hair.

Can you fix another salon's colour correction?

Yes. We offer colour correction services following a consultation and assessment of your hair.

Will going blonde damage my hair?

Our team focuses on maintaining the health and integrity of your hair throughout the lightening process using professional products, customised plans and ongoing maintenance recommendations.

How often should I colour my hair?

Most clients refresh their colour every 4–10 weeks depending on the service and desired maintenance schedule.

What hair extensions do you offer?

We offer Keratin Bond Extensions, Tape Extensions and V-Light Extensions.

Yes. All extension services require a consultation before booking.

Most extension clients return every 6–8 weeks for maintenance appointments.

Are V-Light extensions suitable for fine hair?

V-Light extensions can be a great solution for clients wanting to fill sparse areas or create a fuller hairline. Suitability is assessed during a consultation.

HEAD SPA

What is a Head Spa treatment?

A Head Spa is a luxury scalp and hair wellness experience designed to deeply cleanse, hydrate and relax while promoting a healthier scalp environment.

How long is a Head Spa treatment?

Our signature Head Spa experience runs for approximately 70 minutes.

Can I combine a Head Spa with another service?

Yes. Many clients combine their Head Spa with colour, cutting or styling appointments.

Is a Head Spa good for scalp health?

Yes. Head Spa treatments help remove build-up, hydrate the scalp and promote healthier scalp conditions.

How often should I have a Head Spa treatment?

Most clients enjoy a Head Spa every 4–8 weeks depending on their scalp concerns and wellness goals.

What products do you use in salon?

We proudly use and stock premium professional brands including Davines, K18 and Alfaparf.

How do I maintain healthy hair between appointments?

We recommend professional home haircare, heat protection, regular treatments and routine salon maintenance.

Is K18 suitable for damaged hair?

K18 is designed to help repair and strengthen hair affected by colouring, chemical services and heat styling.

PAYMENTS & GIFT CARDS

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, EFTPOS, major credit cards, Afterpay and Zip Pay.

Do you charge a sustainability fee?

Yes. A $3 Sustainable Salons fee is added to all invoices to support salon recycling and sustainability initiatives.

Do you offer gift vouchers?

Yes. Gift vouchers are available for purchase both in salon and online.

How long are gift vouchers valid for?

Gift vouchers are valid for 36 months from the date of purchase.

SALON POLICIES

Do you offer refunds?

We do not offer refunds for change of mind on salon services. If you are unhappy with your service, please contact us within 7 days so we can review your concerns. Unopened retail products may be exchanged within 14 days of purchase.
